This is a Handmade lotion that has an SPF of approximately 40+ due to the oils that are used and the addition of non-nano zinc oxide. ««I am not claiming a specific SPF level since my sunscreen has not been lab tested.»»It is a known fact, however, that a lot of oils already, naturally, have an SPF level:Shea Butter – SPF 5-6Coconut Oil – SPF 6-10Carrot Seed Essential Oil – SPF 28-40 (contains antioxidants to protect skin cells)Myrrh Essential Oil – SPF 15 (ultra healing oil to help take care of your skin)The essential oils also add medicinal properties, being that they are pure high quality oils for your skin.__________________________________________________________INGREDIENTS:Each jar is made with Raw Shea Butter, coconut oil, and a splash of olive oil to give it that extra nurturing quality. Carrot seed and Myrrh essential oils are added to increase the SPF naturallyFinally, Non-Nano Zinc Oxide is added to increase SPF level above approximately 40 (estimate - not fda tested). I only use non-nano zinc oxide so that the particles are too large to be absorbed by the skin. It will simply remain on your skin until it is washed or worn off.
